Abstract:

This paper introduces an innovative algorithm designed to optimize and improve the efficiency of a content delivery network CDN. The primary objective is to reduce latency, enhance data delivery speed, and minimize bandwidth usage while ensuring high-quality service. We present our approach, its implementation strategies, and validate its effectiveness through simulations and real-world applications.

Introduction:

Content delivery networks play a pivotal role in delivering web-based content globally by serving cached copies of dynamic web pages closer to users, thereby reducing latency and boosting performance. However, the complexity of CDN operations necessitates an efficient algorithmic framework that not only manages these services effectively but also enhances their performance.

The proposed algorithm incorporates several key components for optimization:

  1. Demand Prediction: Utilizing techniques, we predict user demand based on historical data to optimize content caching and distribution strategies.

  2. Dynamic Resource Allocation: The system dynamically adjusts server resources in response to real-time traffic fluctuations ensuring no idle capacity and efficient use of servers.

  3. Smart Content Caching: A sophisticated caching strategy ensures that frequently accessed content is promptly avlable from the closest CDN node, reducing latency significantly.

Through simulations using synthetic web traffic, we demonstrated substantial improvements in CDN performance metrics:
